there are gonna be people in your life who pretend to care about you and despite any type of examples you give them that they act otherwise will twist your perception of the situation to make you feel crazy or dramatic for questioning these things.
someone who cares about you is not going to shut this conversation down, they’re not going to deny your emotions or tell you you’re over reacting, they won’t speak over you and tell you what is or isn’t worth getting upset about. they’re going to inquire as to what’s making you feel this way, theyre going to LISTEN, they’re going to apologize wholeheartedly for what they’ve done to make you feel a certain type of way and then consider your feelings in future actions. don’t for a second sit there and think ‘damn okay this is what I have to deal with’, you don’t. despite any history you have with this person you owe them nothing in terms of sticking around for more excuses and minimal action. you deserve someone who always has you in mind when they act.
